Defifa enters phase 2 ⚽

Over 11.5 ETH was raised from minting in phase one of Defifa! NFTs can no longer be minted but players can buy and sell NFTs on secondary. Here are the rules for phase 2:

The pot is locked and minting permanently ends before the first kickoff on November 21st 2022, 10 AM UTC.
Holders of each team’s NFTs benefit from the outcome of each World Cup game their team plays.
The eventual value of these NFTs recalibrates depending on a self-refereed scorecard.

New Juicecast episode: part 1 of the ConstitutionDAO retrospective 📜

In this special retrospective in celebration of the 1-year anniversary of ConstitutionDAO, Matthew and Brileigh are joined by several former core members including Graham Novak, Alice Ma, Jonah Erlich, Ittai Svidler, and Jon Hillis. ConstitutionDAO was a single purpose acquisition DAO that raised over $40MM USD in an attempt to buy one of the last thirteen remaining copies of the U.S. Constitution at Sotheby’s on November 18th, 2021. What started as a joke in a group chat ended up onboarding thousands into crypto and gave the world a glimpse of the power of blockchain technology, decentralization, and new forms of governance.

In part 1 of this retrospective series, Matthew and Brileigh trace the chronology of the events that took place from early murmurs up until the auction at Sotheby’s. They cover the history and significance of the Constitution itself, potential venues for where the document could have been displayed, and how the campaign managed to raise over 11.5k ETH in seven days.
